Colgems updated their company
sleeves with the Head LP.

--------------------------------

COSO-5008

***********************************************

Michael Sievers has found a variation on the
rear sleeve: a matte cover.

Comparison of the rear sleeves

If there were only a few it might be a printing/production error
however Derek Miner reports that he has seen this as well.

This could be an East Coast/West Coast printing difference.

*******************************************

This was the first Monkees LP with the "Colgems Stereo Records may..."
found in a box on the rear jacket. The first Colgems LP was the
soundtrack to "Hammerhead" COS-110.

Production credits with "Jerry Goffin" named misspelled.
This mistake is later corrected as...

COSO-5008 RE

Corrected "Gerry Goffin"

With the updated jacket an "RE" is added to the catalog number.

RCA used the "RE" (revised) after the catalog number to indicate
that there had been a change to the album jacket.

Side By Side Comparison

Rhino's Head LP also misspelled Gerry's name.

The Handmade Box Set finally got it right.
