JUNE 25:
Found another Pleasant Valley Sunday contract pressing from what I believe is the Capitol Records
pressing plant in Los Angeles, CA.
Even when the rest of RCA was on strike from June to July, 1967
the employees
at the Hollywood plant kept working. So that explains why
the Capitol plant (LA)
and Allied Records (Hollywood)
were able to use the stampers from the RCA Hollywood plant.
Whereas the contract records produced at the Capitol plant (Scranton, PA)
and the Columbia plant (Terra Haute, IN) had no RCA stamper marks in the dead wax.
The Monkees on the cover of Kink magazine from the Netherlands, dated April 15, 1967.
At the bottom it plugs their current single, A Little Bit Me... and their first two LPs.
It also has the catalog number for their first EP from France which must have been
available where this was sold.
Found another cassette from Singapore, this pirated tape was issued sometime in the '80s
Presumably there is a Vol. 1 out there as well.
